Serious study of an instrument is one of the most valuable things a young person can do. It builds discipline, sharpens listening, develops creative thinking, and produces a kind of confidence that transfers well beyond music.

The students who stick with it — who progress from basics to genuine musicianship — are almost always the ones who connected with the right teacher at the right time. Someone who takes them seriously, challenges them appropriately, and makes them want to come back the following week.

Josh begins working with students around third grade. By middle school, motivated students can progress remarkably quickly. Every curriculum is built around the individual student — their musical interests, their pace, and their goals. Lessons are rigorous without being rigid, and structured around the kind of real musicianship that produces results.

For parents considering the longer arc of their child's development — academically, creatively, and competitively — real musical training is a meaningful investment. Serious instruction stands out — in auditions, in applications, and beyond.
